My Toolkit Experience - Levi

Today I went to Owairaka District School for the AkoHiko Tool kits 2021. We had a variety of choices to pick for tool kits. I chose tinker cad design, word art and mine craft coding. I think in my opinion that Minecraft coding was the hardest but it was the most fun. I had a great experience there and I hope that we get to do some fun things like this at high school. this is my reflection on AkoHiko tool kits. Blog Ya Later!

My Minecraft Coding Challenge - Levi

 

 

Today I completed my first Minecraft coding challenge and I achieved my first ever mine craft coding certificate of completing it. every level was getting harder and harder and It took some time but I got there and finished the game. I hope you like my blog post. Blog Ya Later!

Word Art Toolkits - Levi

 

 

Today we learnt how to make word art. It was very fun and cool and the best thing about it was how you could customise the word you chose in heaps of ways. Like making the words placed diagonally and the words could be changed into different fonts. I liked it when mix pictures with the words and the words would be shaped into a picture you wanted it to be. This is my reflection on word art I hope you like my blog. Blog Ya Later

Levi's Rocket Design.

I chose this wing design because our teacher Mr Walkers said that curved wings are better than triangle wings so I decided to use curved wings for my rocket. I hope you like the design I made. blog ya later!

Let blow stuff up in the name of Maths - Levi

For our rocket launch today the rockets blasted off but did not go very far, as they spun around in random directions. The wind was very high. 

 The launch went really well, the rockets didn’t fail to launch and there were no issues with the equipment.  

What I noticed is that the rockets did not fly straight up. This could be due to the angle of the launcher not being perfectly straight. I also think that the wings played a role in how the rocket moved through the air. I think I could improve this by changing the wings and making sure they are more solid and aligned correctly. 

My next step are to work on my wing designs to make it is more stable and I want to also add a lid because this will hopefully help with Aerodynamics. I will probably use Youtube to do a bit of research on what makes a good rocket wing.
